First cousins Sarah Hess and Gina Yosten at their Grandma & Grandpa Yosten's farm. That's Sarah on Apache, and Gina leaning on him. Both girls were 15 years old at the time. It was the calm before the storm...my mother, their grandma, entered the hospital the next month of that year, and never came home again. She died on October 12, 1997. I miss her everyday.
