Where does the time go?!

Long time no post. If it weren't for Sarah encouraging me to do this, I just wouldn't. (But I'm glad she does!). I have a new great-nephew, born Thursday night, October 28, 2004, at 11:05, weighing 7-lbs, 8-oz and measuring 21" long. His name is Jacob Michael Wenzel, and he is beautiful. I went to the hospital in Gainesville after work yesterday to see him. Baby and mom (Tara) are fine. Jeff & Tara also have a daughter, Carolyn Grace, age 2 years & 2 months. Grandpa Doug & Grandma Lynda, and Grandpa Hugo, are proud as peacocks, as are Great-Grandpa Yosten and Great-Grandma Klement. Now, for all you sleep-deprived college students: "New research is confirming what dieters and scientists have always suspected--sleep patterns affect body weight. University of Chicago researchers found that a sleep debt of just three to four hours a day over a few days was all it took for the metabolism of study participants to be affected--in some, the metabolic changes were so severe that they mimicked a prediabetic condition. Good reason to get more z's." (Weight Watchers magazine, November/December 2004, page 12). Wow. The pre-diabetic thing really scares me, as it should everyone. GET MORE SLEEP!!!!
